1. Set yourself some smaller, easily achievable goals

Many of us create New Year’s resolutions but only a few people are successful in achieving them. Instead of directly working towards big dreams, smaller goals can better motivate you and make them easier to complete. We suggest dividing big dreams into measurable and achievable monthly, weekly, or even daily goals.

2. Create your own planner

There are many electronic planner templates online. Download your favourite version and add more elements to make yourself a unique planner.

3. Manage your time effectively

There is a very popular time management method called Pomodoro Technique.  This method can benefit you if you're someone who is easily distracted or have many tasks on the go. Here is how it works. First, pick a task and set a 25-minute timer. Step 2, work on your task until the time is up. Then, take a 5-minute break. Every four rounds take a longer 15-to-30-minute break. Doesn't it sound fantastic? Now, effectively manage your time by giving it a try!

4. Reflect on yourself

It is a good way to see how much you have accomplished or what you still need to work on. The key to self-reflection  if you have never done it before, is to schedule 10-minute reflection time. Reflect on your goals you are planning and the how you can achieve them. Never be afraid of making mistakes, it will help you learn your lessons.
