Rez-One is proud to announce the grand opening of Hespeler House, its newest residence in Waterloo’s Phillips Square. The new building opened its doors on September 2, 2020, to 476 students for the new school year.
The project from JD Development Group was completed on time, on budget, and with no delays. This is an insurmountable feat considering the implications of COVID-19, and the resulting delays experienced by a wide range of industries.
Hespeler House
Hespeler House is one of the most luxurious and coveted student residences in Waterloo. All 119 units and 476 bedrooms in the building have been occupied for Fall 2020.
All Hespeler House suites are condominium-style, complete with four bedrooms, ensuite washrooms, and furnishing. Residents will enjoy the oversized windows that allow for plenty of natural light, the privacy of the ensuite washrooms, and the functionality of the fully equipped kitchens. Unlimited Internet access is delivered to every suite in addition to all common areas.
Residents can expect access to all of the high-end amenities Rez-One buildings are best known for. Hespeler House amenities include a full-sized gym, multiple furnished lounges with ping-pong and billiard tables, a large flat-screen TV, and a fireplace for socializing and relaxing. Additional amenities include collaborative group and private study spaces, underground parking, and 24 hours a day security. Residents can also expect access to parking and internal security storage for bicycles.
Hespeler House marks the third phase of Phillip Square, a four-building project in the City of Waterloo from JD Development. The project is an expansion of JD Development’s Rez-One residences that provide premium off-campus housing for the Waterloo student community.
