Invite Lots of Friends: Life gets busy. That’s why an event like Oscar Sunday is the perfect opportunity to see all those friends whose posts you’ve “liked” from afar for the last 6 months. Mixing in different social groups is a cool way to introduce strangers to each other. They already have something in common: You! Bottom line, it’s always fun to see old pals, invite them all for a fun evening of food, drinks, competition and laughs.

Dress Code
Dress to Impress or Depress: Whatever your dress code make it known. Whether you're choosing to go red carpet extreme and get all dolled up, or the complete opposite and have an Oscar PJ party. Make sure everyone knows what it is and everyone is willing to participate. It’s more fun when we're all on the same page and participates together! 

Food
Have a Feast of Food: Don’t go breaking the bank on this one. Do a potluck thing. Your friends will jump at the chance to impress others with their keen cuisines. Make it worth their while by offering awards for Best Appetizer, Best New Drink, Best Entrée and Best Dessert!

Oscar Challenge Sheet
No matter how many of the movies you have or haven’t seen it will be a chance for some friendly competition. Print out as many Oscar Nomination sheets as people coming and everyone makes their guesses. At the end of the night tally up who got the most right and they win their own award. We built the sheets so the awards are on you!

Awards
“I’d like to thank the academy:” You can get little plastic ones by the bagful at your local party store, or you can go find any kind of prizes at the dollar store. Hand them out to winners of the best food, or ones who got the most right on your Nominee Sheet. We guarantee they’ll place it on the mantle at their own home for a little while at least. Your party will still be on their minds long after it’s over.

Decorate
Dollar Store is Your Best Friend, or you can cover your walls with the official movie poster for every Best Picture Winner since 1928. Okay, maybe that’s a little too much. Gold and black streamers and balloons will work, too. Consider rolling out the Red Carpet on the porch or entryway. Your guests will be impressed before they even walk through the front door.
